Advocating for Abnormal Behavior, or Not

Advocating for Abnormal Behavior, or Not

The left, the liberal, the Democrat, the progressive use as a mantel their “tolerance” for just about all things. Where they go astray is equating “tolerance” with “endorsement.” Practices many, if not the majority, find objectionable, such as gender-affirming care for minors or public displays of gay or trans identities, especially when children are present, is just not appropriate. What the right considers normal differs from what the left, so it seems, considers normal. The left’s advocacy for trans youth can seem compassionate but turns intolerant when   it demands compliance or shames skeptics. There are schools where teachers teach about gender identity to kids, even providing medical interventions.  This is a form of forced normalization, a normalization only viewed through the lens of the left. Florida and Texas have passed bills, appropriately in my mind, limiting such actions.   This sides with the issue of parental rights and societal norms, yet allows for private choices.  There is a rational resistance to forced normalization, as evidenced by 65% of parents wanting more control over how schools handle gender issues, from a 2024 Pew Research poll.

Tolerance is not to become open celebrations for such abnormal behaviors or acts.  Let’s not ever make public displays of aberrant or monstrous behavior or acceptance of medical practices on young children that are not able to make a rational decision, normal.   Tolerance is about coexistence, not forced applause.
