Clarifying “Religion”
Congress needs to pass a resolution providing clarification of the term “religion“ in the Constitution. It would seem evident that there are ideological constructs which have been embraced as a religion in America. They are not the same religion that influenced the thinking of our founding fathers in forming our Bill of Rights or the Declaration of Independence.
Within the framework of these illegitimate religions are dictates which compel adherence to foment hatred towards others, often clearly specified in their manifesto or scripture. Hate groups, even terrorist cells and organizations, have been created under the banner of a false god, but convenient as a currently acceptable element of a religion which calls for a spiritual guide. There is no ‘religion’ when the tenets of an ideology provide no moral basis, call for ‘death’ to peoples or nations, instruct followers to kill while praising a non-descript etherial being, are overtly oppressive to classes of people, in their teaching indoctrinate adherents to overtly hate, establish laws of governance in strict compliance with ideological doctrine, require those born into a family of followers or having proclaimed dedication to the central persona are subject to execution, without punishment of the executioner, as apostates, or require human or animal sacrifice to be cleansed of perceived sins. If attempts are made to associate with established moral godly true religions, care must be taken to insure any such associations provide a proper guide to a life to be lived well, and not a campaign of conquest or territorial expansion.
To be free to chose an ideology or a religion is a componant of a free and Democratic society. However when compelled to comply to the ideology or religion and be governed by doctrine, not the established laws of a Nation, to the point of ignoring established laws, it is not religion, but ideology. Communism, Nazi-ism, Wiccanism, Satanism, even Islam comes to mind, as obvious ideologies and/or ideologies obscured by attempts using prophets and a central unseen being as divine. They are not ‘religions.’ No facet of any of the aforementioned where considered in establishing many Nations, free nations, in the world, in Europe, the United Kingdom or America.
